REQUIRED 8 hours annual

Citation: N.H. Admin. Code Saf-C 1305.03

Administered by the NH DMV (Department of Safety), which issues the school bus driver certificate. Each certificated driver must annually complete a minimum of 8 hours of instruction or review (Saf-C 1305.03) covering the pre-service topics plus defensive driving, first aid, bullying/violence prevention (RSA 193-F) and suicide prevention (RSA 193-J); the employer must provide proof of completion. Initial pre-service instruction is a minimum of 10 hours (Saf-C 1305.02), and the certificate expires with the driver's license, with a written exam required at renewal (Saf-C 1304.01).
